JKS SWAYBAR DISCONNECTS
Left: Disconnects    Right: Installed Picture
I purchased the JKS disconnects at 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers in San Jose. I paid $130. I was quite impressed with them when they arrived. The craftsmanship is excellent. They fit like a glove when installed.

The installation was a little difficult though. The stock piece that the disconnects replace is pressed into the swaybar making it difficult to remove. If you had a ball joint puller it would probably be a snap, but my pitman arm puller was too large to do the job. I ended up getting out the 3 lb hammer and knocking them out. Once I got the hammer out the job was a snap.

Upon installing the 31x11.5" tires on 8" rims I discovered that the tire could touch the excess bolt sticking out from the disconnects (that's the gold colored bolt in the picture above). I got out my Dremmel, and sliced the bolt off even with the nut...problem solved.

I highly recommend getting these disconnects. I'd say it is
the #1 upgrade you could do to your TJ's suspension.

UPDATE: 1/4/2000 After 20,000 miles of use the swivel joint at the top of the disconnects has worn out and rattles like crazy. I contacted JKS just yesterday and they're sending out a their redesigned TJ disconnect free of charge (I did need to fax them the original receipt). Good to see a company standing behind their product... big thumbs up on customer service!
