The new Clodhopper 2.0's chassis is constructed out of .5"x.5"x16 gauge steel square tube.  Wheelbase measures roughly 15.5 inches.  Originally I  re-used my Savage shocks, and got rid of the little dually tires and went with some Losi LST tires on stock maxx rims. (pictures below) But after doing some tweaking I realized that the savage shocks weren't going to work.  Either way I put them, they either hit the frame or gear cases when I flex the truck out.  So I was inspired by Grizzly from rccrawler.com and what he did with his clod "The Duke", and I came up with a coil spring/shock setup, which is pictured below.  Works MUCH better, so much more stable than before. Also I decided to make a rear steer block off plate that would allow me to block off the rear steer or hook it back up as I wanted.  After adding the LST tires, my weak servo was not able to even keep the wheels straight.  So until I can mount up a 1/4 scale servo, I'm going with 2 wheel steering.  The LST tires really change a lot of things.  They are much bigger and harder to steer. They are also very rough on the knuckles or C-hubs.  I broke one of those already.
