OPINION - Transformation of the CA State Park Transformation Process

Transformation of the Transformation Process

The terms “honest” and “genuine” have not been adjectives normally associated with leadership at the California State Parks Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR).  This is especially true when it comes to how DPR has treated the OHV community over the last 30 years.

Arizona Game and Fish wants Sierra Club to retract fundraising letter

Solicitation makes statements "not supported by science"

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. -- The Arizona Game and Fish Department is asking the Sierra Club to retract a fundraising letter that makes false statements about Arizona’s endangered condor population. As he cleared the top, a trail of sand followed the jeep a good six feet above the crest. As razorbacks have a habit of doing, the drop off on the other side proved more extreme than the Jeeper expected. The resulting endo was disastrous for his weekend. Luckily, he walked away but the Jeep was another matter.

While some of the details of SB 1235 implementation are still unclear and may need to be further worked out by the Department of Justice or subsequent legislation, the California Waterfowl Association has received some information from legislative staff on details of the bill.
